Rise of the African-American press

In the current time press are very famous inc & at past time its very rarre ,Here who ,,

The  air sky  discrimination against African-Americans did not prevent  from founding their own  way of daily and weekly newspapers & in large cities. These newspapers and other publications flourished because of the loyalty their readers .  On the way of ,The first black newspaper was the Freedom's Journal and it was first published on March 16, 1827   both on John B.  Russwurm and Samuel Cornish. Abolitionist Philip Alexander Bell started the Colored American in New York City in 1837  .  Then became co-editor of Pacific Appeal and founder of Elevator, both significant Reconstruction Era newspapers based in San Francisco

By the 20th century, African-American newspapers flourished  major cities  with publishers playing a major role . Representative leaders, included Robert Sengstacke Abbott publisher of Chicago Defender; John Mitchell, Jr. Editor of the Richmond Planet and president of the National Afro-American Press Association on  Anthony Overton publisher of the Chicago Bee in 1865 – 1946,  and Robert Lee Vann.

Foreign-language newspapers
 Immigration rose dramatically during the last half of the 19th century, many Ethnic groups sponsored newspapers in their native languages . The Germans created  largest network, but their press was largely shut down  between1917-1918. For example, Yiddish Newspapers appeared  following the  regions of  New York Jews. They had effective of introducing newcomers from Eastern Europe to American culture .In states like Nebraska, founded on large immigrants people, where many residents moved from Czechoslovakia, Germany .Also  Denmark foreign-language papers Take a place for these people to make cultural & economic contributions to their new country and house. Now a  day ,Spanish language newspapers such as El Diario La Prensa Hispanic strongholds.

Luce empire

Magazines News  flourished from the  last in 19th century, such as  look back  for  Review  to Reviews. However, Henry Luce transformed the genres  with   own time in 1923. It became the favorite news source for the upscale middle-class people. Luce  a conservative Republican was called "the most influential private citizen in the America of his day." He launched  closely supervised a stable of magazines .That transformed journalism and the reading habits in upscale Americans. Life was   magazine of politics, culture and society that dominated American  perceptions in the global

Also Luce created a multimedia corporation to rival whose  Hearst and other newspaper net. Luce who was born in China  at missionary parents, demonstrated a missionary zeal to make the nation worthy of dominating the world  what he called the "American CenturyBy the late 20th century, unfortunatly,  all 0f  the Luce magazines and their imitators drastically scaled back. Newsweek ended its print edition in 2013.
